Who are you

Who are you? Who am I? I’m a star of course.
What makes me a star? The fact that I’m alive makes me a star.
That doesn’t make you a star. Well I’ve conquered many battles
I am loved and have loved; I’ve blessed others and have been blessed.
What makes a person a star to you? A star has stature, a star has name recognition, money, power a star has assistants and doesn’t mix with the little people, and a star is VIP.  Well I’m a star because I’ve accomplished much with love, support and hard work. I’m a star because I’m the first and only Afro Caribbean female Neurosonographer at my job and maybe in the state of Georgia. I’m the best me, mother, wife, sister and daughter most important I’m a star because I was chosen by God to be the best and brightest star ever born when he gave me life. You see we’re all stars even you. When you think that no one loves you or care remember God loves you and gives you everything you need to shine. Tap in to the gifts he’s blessed you with and live your best life.

Have a wonderful Holiday
Bless up

Peace Be With You This Holiday Season

 Grace
Peace and bountiful joy will always be with you.
As I meditate I find within a path of love.
It may not be with you now but just stay still, continue in your faith for it is all we have in our times of struggle.

soon you will see that light, let there
be no doubt your desires are near.
For this will pass

Appreciate all the gifts around you,
for every day and everyone has a gift to share.
Allow each moment to encompass your soul for your presence is irresistible.

STROKE

STROKE: Remember the 1st Three Letters..
S T. R.

Now doctors say a  bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

S  *
Ask the individual to SMILE.

T  *
Ask the person to TALK and
SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE  (Coherently)

(i.e. It is sunny out today.)

R
*Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number 911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE:  Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to
'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other
that is also an indication of a stroke.

Hank Stewart's Annual White Linen

This past weekend was an awesome eye opener for me. I got feed and filled with knowledge of who I am, who I want to be and who I will become. Hank Stewart and the angels of hope that surrounds him truly pull off a party with a purpose. I laughed, cried and realized what I've been missing all these years of going to White Linen. For the first time in the past nine years of going I sat and listened to the speakers and the people around me. I suggest that each and everyone out there save the date for next year July, because I promise you that if you don't go you would have missed half your life. I can go on and on but I'll end with this; Hank and his team, Gwen Mason, Mitsah Henry, Maureen Stubbs, John Futch, Yolanda Pinkard, India, Jason, Major, Micheal El, and so many others did an awesome job. This was definitely life changing. I'm so proud to know them.

Father's Day

Father and Son/Daughter

Let me be that shoulder you lean on
Can’t they understand that you’re my little man/lady

Let me make you smile instead of frown
For little do they know the power that grows
Our love is one without bottom

A yearning that lingers throughout the seasons

We are Royalty who rule from within
Stand up, be humble and face the struggle
My love is solid, unchanging
Such depth some folks can’t fathom
Play your part as a strong man/woman

For I am with you always now and beyond

My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
Proverbs 3:21

Celebrating My Caribbean Heritage

BLACK HAIR

Hair, hair, hair
It's everywhere
Long, tall, short, beads
Curly, straight, kinky
Thick, thin
Where ever it is beautiful
Black hair
We weave, lock, coil
Braid, twist, color
Relax, natural
Black hair
This clearly distinguishes
People of African decent
Africans, Americans, Caribbean
Latinos, Europeans, Natives and Mixed
Black hair
An art form to some
Some a culture, a style
A show of spirituality
An awakening, hidden identity
Black hair
For me a Dugla-Guyanese
I love to express my afro centricity with
Long, soft, relaxed, beautifully colored, styled
Black hair

Dedicated to my Emory Neurologists

When love beckons you follow
Follow that path, that passion
that light that shines at the end of the tunnel
Gracefully, you’ve touched each and every soul
much
like a smooth operator leaving  us with a diagnosis  of un-acclaimed vision
The understanding and peace of knowing, you care
You’re regarded as the great one
With a solid foundation and instinct you’ve become a stallion in our minds You’re versed in the highest levels
of many disciplines of science
as a fierce competitor
Leaving us with such wisdom as Einstein
You stand alone with the strength
of your knowledge and love,
fulfilling the future of all who
dared dream to follow your lead as the

commander-n-chief, leaving footprints of
excellence to your destiny

Blessings

From: Laureen Keith
Great job Kim. Keep it coming.
You know I am always here for you.

Great presentation.  Didn't know you had it in you.

Looking forward to the next book.

You are on your way to great things.

I am proud to know that you are a part of our family.  I still remember the little child
that slept in my arms in the absence of your parents.  You choose me to cling to, and
that bond still exists today.

In closing my advice to you is:  "BELIEVE IN MIRACLES."   "LIFE ISN'T
TIED WITH A BOW, BUT IT'S STILL A GIFT."     When you came into our lives (your mom
and dad,  grant-father and grant-mother, uncles and aunts and even the neighbours)
After all you were one of the first  to call us  "Auntie" and "Uncle."
What a gift to us you were and still. You were one of the first persons to call us uncle and aunt -
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!   Auntie Edna
