I left my home for a dream A baby on one hip and a bag on the other My mother said go you’re a big woman now You’ve made your decision and I am not able My dream began to fade cause I fell on hard times My faith became stronger cause baby was mine Got a job, cleaning and waiting tables Tips go a long way if you’re willing and able The dream becomes real when opportunity is revealed No time to cry education is key Leave I must my baby and me Better job, better me, better together we Most folks think twice but not me Hard work and family will help me succeed God comes first, he helps me believe So get ready America not even you can stop me
